This Earth Month, Lush is spotlighting the journey behind every product—tracing its cleansing balms back to the farms, forests, and communities where their ethically sourced ingredients originate.

This often involves creative problem-solving, from removing palm oil to sourcing high-quality natural materials and prioritizing 100% recycled packaging.

At the heart of Lush’s approach is a commitment to sourcing ingredients as directly as possible from farmers, growers, and producers around the world.

From blossoms and roots to essential oils and absolutes, each raw material is carefully selected by Lush’s Buying team—not only for its performance, but for its quality and impact.

To maintain integrity at every step, the team travels to meet suppliers in person, building long-term relationships and understanding how ingredients are grown, harvested, and processed.

This creates a more transparent connection between product and origin.

This philosophy comes to life in Lush’s new cleansing balms, with each formula reflecting a direct-from-source approach that turns a daily routine into a more thoughtful, ingredient-driven ritual.

New cleansing balms include:

  • Turmeric & Argan Oil Cleanser (Ultra Radiant): Lavish mature skin in antioxidant-rich oils and fresh turmeric for radiant results. Made with honey sourced from Zambia, Guatemala, and Canada.
  • Oat Cleansing Balm (Ultra Gentle): A lighter, oat-and-sunflower-based balm for sensitive or redness-prone skin. Made with organic almond oil from Spain, honey sourced from Guatemala and Canada, and porridge oats from the Canadian Prairie.
  • Honey, Beeswax & Almond Oil (Ultra Hydrating): The original Ultrabland-inspired formula for dry or compromised skin. Packed with raw honeycomb from an apiary in Ontario, Canada, and organic almond oil from Spain.
  • Acai & Sacha Inchi Vitamin E (Ultra Clarifying): A lightweight oil cleanser for breakout-prone and hormonal skin. Made with organic extra virgin olive oil from Cyprus and Spain, along with açaí oil from Brazil supplied by CitroBio.
